Learn More About Therapy With Me
As a Japanese therapist in Texas, I support adults navigating life transitions, cultural differences, and relationship challenges that can leave them feeling disconnected, isolated, or unsure of themselves. You may find yourself questioning why certain relationships feel difficult, struggling to adjust to major changes, or wondering how to balance different cultural expectations. Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences with curiosity, compassion, and support.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and significant life changes, including divorce, cultural adjustment, and experiences of domestic abuse. Together, we can explore these challenges without self-blame, helping you gain greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding as you move forward.
My approach is grounded in cultural humility, empowerment, and respect for each person’s unique strengths and lived experiences. Sessions are supportive, intentional, and tailored to your needs, helping you reconnect with yourself, your values, and a stronger sense of belonging.
About Akane Saitoh, LMSW
I’m Akane Saitoh, a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, trauma, and cultural adjustment. I hold professional qualifications as both a Social Welfare Worker and Psychiatric Social Worker in Japan, and my work is deeply informed by cross-cultural understanding.
Much of my work centers on supporting individuals who feel disconnected from others or from themselves, particularly those navigating cultural differences, identity concerns, or experiences of abuse. I respect my clients’ resilience and am committed to promoting safety, dignity, and healing.
In addition to individual therapy, I have led outreach efforts within diverse Asian communities to reduce stigma and expand access to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Across all settings, my goal is to walk alongside clients with compassion, helping them reconnect with hope, community, and a stronger sense of self.
