Meet Kelley Allen

Hello, I’m Kelley Allen. I’m originally from Wyoming, but I moved to Texas eight years ago to pursue my career goals in social services. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Wyoming in 2017. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people overcome challenges with mental health, substance use, and reentry after incarceration. Supporting others on their journey is something I’m truly passionate about.
For a decade, I worked extensively in the nonprofit sector, focusing on bridging gaps in resources for women’s health and supporting individuals living with HIV, particularly those transitioning out of prison. This work deeply shaped my passion for helping vulnerable populations and addressing systemic challenges.
I later transitioned to providing intensive case management services to clients with co-occurring disorders involved in the criminal justice system, including individuals reentering society after incarceration. Over the past eight years, I have dedicated my career to offering intensive case management and counseling services to justice-involved individuals.
Currently, I serve as a court liaison for the mental health specialty court. In this role, I work closely with clients battling both mental health and substance use disorders, helping them navigate their paths to stability and recovery.
I am currently pursuing my licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My passion for supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders stems from a deeply personal place—the loss of my son to addiction. This experience has inspired my commitment to being a compassionate, caring, and supportive presence in my clients’ recovery journeys.
My professional areas of interest include substance use counseling, case management, mindfulness, anger management, HIV/AIDS, LGBTQIA+ support, multicultural issues, and stress management.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking in the mountains, kayaking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and watching movies. I am also a proud mother of two children and have been married to my best friend for 23 years.
