Professional Profile
My name is Roxana Gonzalez, and I am a Mexican American cisgender woman who grew up and lives in the Borderland area between El Paso, Texas, and Chihuahua, Mexico. I speak two languages fluently, Spanish and English, and I am a beginner in Japanese.
I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals and communities through mental health and social services. My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts for History and Sociology awarded in 2013 and a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University in 2019. I obtained my license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in 2020.
I have worked for non-profit organizations for nearly 8 years in El Paso, Texas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, serving as a case-worker at homeless shelters, educational centers, community agencies, and a behavioral health clinic. Currently, I work with El Paso Community College as a Clinical Services Provider for the EPCC Cares center, which is the mental health and social services department at this community college.
For my hobbies, I enjoy baking pastries, relaxing with a good movie or series, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to my professional journey, I enjoy baking pastries, exploring new recipes, and sharing them with loved ones. On weekends, you can find me relaxing with a good movie or series, often accompanied by a cozy cup of tea. Spending time with family and friends is one of my greatest joys, and I cherish the moments that allow me to connect deeply with those around me. These personal passions bring balance to my life and remind me of the importance of self-care and connection—values I strive to instill in my therapeutic practice.
