Learn More About Therapy With Me
Life can feel nonstop, and when stress builds up, it is easy to push emotions aside or try to ignore what is happening internally. You may notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, or relationships that are hard to explain, or find yourself wondering why certain situations feel so overwhelming. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand what is going on beneath the surface.
My approach is calm, gentle, and judgment-free. I use evidence-based therapies such as CBT, Attachment Theory, and trauma-informed care to help clients build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. I focus on helping adults feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered as they work toward meaningful change. Sessions are virtual and designed to be accessible and supportive for clients across Texas.
About Cassandra Fields, LPC Associate
My name is Cassandra Fields, though many people know me by my nickname, Lizzy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Brandi Sawyer, LPC-S. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler, where I also completed my clinical internship at The East Texas Crisis Center.
That experience played a significant role in shaping my counseling approach and deepening my understanding of trauma-informed care. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, and other evidence-based frameworks, recognizing that emotions, thoughts, relationships, and past experiences are deeply interconnected.
I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported. I often use psychoeducation to help normalize emotional experiences and reduce shame, reminding clients that they are not alone or “weird” for what they are going through. Every client is unique, and I strive to honor that individuality in our work together.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with family, and engaging in creative outlets such as drawing and writing. I am also a fan of animated shows and musicals, which I love for the way they express diverse perspectives and experiences.

About Me
My name is Cassandra Fields, but I also go by my nickname, Lizzy. I am an LPC Associate, under the supervision of Brandi Sawyer, LPC-S.
I graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. While going for my degree, I interned at The East Texas Crisis Center. Working there was an amazingly rewarding experience and greatly impacted my approach to counseling. I gained an in-depth understanding of trauma-informed therapy. In my sessions, I integrate a variety of elements from counseling theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy.
I believe that there are useful exercises from each of these that can help clients gain a better understanding of themselves. Emotions, thoughts, relationships, perceptions, family background, and so much more are all interrelated and important to keep in mind.
I use psychoeducational material to let my clients know that they aren’t “weird” or alone in what they’re going through. I strive to create a judgement-free environment where my clients feel safe to explore their feelings. I feel that every client is unique and deserves to be heard.
In my off time, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with my family, and engaging in creative endeavors such as drawing and writing. I am a big fan of animated shows and musicals in particular because there are many different perspectives and experiences expressed through these mediums.
