Learn More About Therapy With Me
Life can bring experiences that feel difficult to navigate on your own. You may be working through loss, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, or the effects of difficult experiences. Therapy can provide a compassionate space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of what you are carrying.
As a social work intern, my goal is to meet you where you are and create a safe, supportive environment where you can share your experiences without judgment. I believe that your experiences, strengths, and goals are an important part of the therapeutic process, and I want to work collaboratively with you at a pace that feels comfortable.
Whether you are navigating domestic violence, pregnancy loss, abuse, emotional challenges, or simply trying to better understand yourself, you deserve to feel supported. My hope is that you leave our work together feeling safe, relieved, and comfortable being yourself.
About Dominique Whysall, MSW Intern
Hello, my name is Dominique, and I am a graduate-level student clinician currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky.
My interest in behavioral health comes from a desire to support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward greater emotional well-being. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and valued, especially during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
I am especially interested in gaining experience supporting individuals navigating domestic violence, abuse, pregnancy loss, grief, anxiety, and depression. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.
My approach centers on collaboration and recognizing the individual strengths, experiences, and goals each person brings to therapy. I hope to support clients as they develop greater self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
Outside of my clinical training, I enjoy going for walks and watching Disney movies with my girls. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow while supporting clients through my work with The Empowering Space.
