MiKael White-Davis
Meet MiKael White-Davis, LPC
Grand Being! My name is MiKael (pronounced Me-Kale) White-Davis. I am a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Ohio.
I like to consider myself a lifelong learner. I have 2 advanced degrees, Masters of Science in Education and Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; both from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN; and 2 undergraduate degrees, Associates of Arts and Sciences in Early Childhood Education (University of Cincinnati) and Bachelor of Arts (Union Institute and University – Cincinnati, OH) with a concentration in Child and Family Studies.
As a licensed therapist in Ohio, I specialize in individual, couples, family, and group therapy with age ranges of 8 to 70+. I work with persons who identify from minority and marginalized communities. I am also an ally of the LGBTQIA communities. I focus my social justice intentions on helping people from these communities be empowered and included. I have worked in an adolescent residential facility, with the incarcerated and ex-felons, with persons who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses, substance use and abuse disorders, and personality disorders such as Borderline and Obsessive-Compulsive disorder.
Every Client is unique and therefore, has a unique treatment plan built according to their needs and goals. I utilize relevant, evidence-based modalities such as Schema-Therapy, DBT, trauma-informed care, Conscious Discipline, Person-Centered and Biopsychosocial-model, just to name a few, to journey with each Client as they progress to their definition of success for themselves and their lives.
My goal is to dismantle mental health stigmas and provide access to quality mental health care for all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, or personal identifiers. I look forward to taking the next leg of your journey to healing and success with you. Be Well!
