Meet Roxana Gonzalez, LMSW
My name is Roxana Gonzalez, I am a Mexican American cisgender woman who grew up and lives in the Borderland area between El Paso, Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico. I speak two languages fluently, Spanish and English and I am a beginner in Japanese.
My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts for History and Sociology awarded in 2013 as well as a Masters in Social Work from Texas State University in 2019. I obtained my license as a Licensed Master Social Work in 2020.
I worked for non-profit organizations for almost 8 years in El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces , New Mexico as a case-worker at homeless shelters, educational centers, community agencies and a behavioral health clinic. Currently, I am working with El Paso Community College as a Clinical Services Provider for the EPCC Cares center; which is the mental health and social services department at this community college.
For my hobbies, I like to bake pastries, relax with a good movie or series and spend time with family and friends.
My clinician specialities include: CBT, Meditation, Mindfulness, Anxiety and Depression, Anger management, Trauma , Domestic violence, Panic Disorder, Bullying, stress management, Immigrant/1st generation issues ,multicultural issues , ADHD, Self-esteem, Self-harm ( suicidal ideations and afety planning) Young adults. As well as populations 15-10 year old, 18-64 family, individual and couple’s therapy. I also provide therapy in Spanish.
