Learn More About Therapy With Me
When you’re navigating addiction, trauma, grief, or the weight of major life transitions, it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin. You may be carrying patterns shaped by survival, loss, or long-term stress, and wondering how to move forward in a way that feels sustainable. Therapy can provide a steady, supportive space to slow down, process what you’ve been through, and begin rebuilding with intention.
My approach is structured, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients process past experiences, manage triggers, and develop healthier coping strategies. I work with adults and couples to support recovery, emotional regulation, and long-term stability. Sessions are virtual and designed to be accessible for clients in Texas and Ohio.
About Yanitza Rice, LMSW, LCDC, CGP
Hi, I’m Yanitza Rice, a Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and EMDR-trained therapist. I’ve lived and worked in Central Texas for over 20 years, dedicating my career to supporting individuals and couples through addiction recovery, trauma healing, and major life transitions.
My professional experience spans residential treatment programs, community agencies, and correctional settings. This background has given me a deep understanding of how trauma, substance use, and systemic stress impact individuals over time. While I no longer provide therapy for minors or families, my experience working within family systems informs my work with adults and couples seeking recovery and reconnection.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, camping, and being on the water with my family. These moments help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and presence. I believe healing is possible with the right support, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you rebuild hope and move forward.
